Allen’s Outdoor Summer Sounds Concert Series Starts June 5

Starting Monday, June 5, the city of Allen will begin hosting a FREE weekly outdoor concert series. The Summer Sounds Concert Series is a collaboration between the city and the Parks And Recreation department. Four different concerts will be held at the Joe Farmer Recreation Center amphitheater, with each night providing a different theme. The concert will provide a variety of different styles, and offer both classical and contemporary fare. The first performance of the Summer Sounds Concert Series is with Downtown Fever. Each performance provides a free family-friendly that provides unique live entertainment for Allen residents.

When:

The first concert is Monday, June 5, and it will start at 7 pm. Subsequent concerts will take place on June 12 (A Hard Day’s Night), June 19 (Jolie Holliday And Sonny Burgess), and September 4 (Allen Philharmonic Orchestra Symphony Chorus).

Where:

The Summer Sounds Concert Series concerts will be held at the Joe Farmer Recreation Center amphitheater. The center address is 1201 E Bethany, Allen, TX.

Cost:

All concerts for the Summer Sounds Concert Series will be FREE.

Activities Include:

You and your family can bring a picnic blanket and stretch out on the amphitheater lawn as you check out the different acts participating in the Summer Sounds Concert Series. Each Monday concert will feature a different performance.
