Allen residents are encouraged to take part in this year’s Duck Derby, which is being held at the Don Radenbaugh Natatorium. If you want to compete, the first step you need to take is to come by and pick up your racing duck, and give it your personal decorative touch. The decorated ducks are due back to the Natatorium by 5 pm on Friday, February 10. On the morning of Saturday, February 11, you can come out and watch as the ducks compete in a “race” down the lazy river. Prizes based on the race outcome and the quality of duck decoration will be awarded.
When:
Your racing duck is due at the Don Radenbaugh Natatorium for entrance into the race by 5 pm on Friday, February 10. The race itself will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 10 am.
Where:
The Duck Derby is being held at the Don Radenbaugh Natatorium, located at 110 E Rivercrest, Allen, TX 75002.
Cost:
The cost to enter your duck into the decorating contest is $5. To participate in the decorating contest and the race, the fee is $8.
Activities Include:
You can take home your racing duck, add whatever creative decorations you wish, and return it to the Natatorium to take part in the decorating contest, and the race. Prizes in both events will be awarded.
