Improving Patient Experience and Outcomes

When it comes to providing quality dental care, advanced dental technology revolutionizes a patient’s dental experience. Utilizing advanced dental technology allows for higher precision and accuracy in diagnosis and treatment, as well as greater overall outcomes for our patients. Whether we are obtaining detailed images of your smile with digital X-rays or planning your smile makeover using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), you can expect your treatment to be less invasive, less damaging to surrounding tissues, and more comfortable overall.

Dental Technology and Patient Comfort

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and innovative tools makes it possible for our practice to provide high-quality dental treatments with improved patient outcomes and experience.

CBCT – Using your digital X-rays to create a 3D image of your bite, Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) can be helpful in dental treatment planning and evaluating pathologies.

Dental Magnification – To take a much-closer look at specific oral structures, Dr. Torrens-Parker and our team may utilize dental magnification. Magnification with the use of loupes is essential in restorative procedures such as crowns and root canal therapy, as it allows for greater accuracy and precision in removing signs of infection.

Digital X-rays – Utilizing digital X-rays allows for greater safety compared with traditional X-rays by reducing radiation exposure, as well as provides instant image viewing, improved image quality, and ease of storage and reference. We typically take digital X-rays during your routine general visit, and they are helpful for patient education.

3D Scanner – A 3D scanner captures detailed images of the teeth, gums, bone structure, and other oral tissues. A 3D scan can be helpful in diagnosis and treatment planning, allows us to perform more complex treatment, and takes digital impressions without the need for messy traditional materials, ultimately improving patient comfort.

Intraoral Camera – Intraoral cameras capture high-resolution images of hard-to-see oral tissues for a more accurate diagnosis. Our team may use these for patient education and to provide a real-time look into their mouth and oral concerns.

Isodry – To aid in patient comfort and dental ease, Isodry provides hands-free isolation to the area being worked on by gently holding the mouth open and the tongue back.
